Black & White Print Options - Fiber (hand print)

Hand-printed fiber enlargements are much more labor intensive than RC straight prints. Archival washing of fiber prints takes hours. Compare this to the five minutes of washing required for a RC print. I also do dodging, burning or other techniques to better control the tonal range of the print. This yields a print with a broad tonal range. This extended tonal range brings out details that are otherwise lost in straight prints. Below are examples that show you the difference in appearance between straight-prints and hand-printed enlargements.
